Common questions

How do you decide Good to go, Sometimes or Skip it?

We check every ingredient against a list of things worth knowing about for kids: added sugars, artificial dyes like Red 40, certain preservatives and sweeteners, and more. We also check how much sugar, salt and saturated fat it has. Each kid's age matters too: honey is a Skip it before age 1, and added sugar before age 2.

A product shows the wrong ingredients.

Recipes change, and our data comes from public sources (USDA and Open Food Facts). Switch to "Ingredients" mode and scan the label on the package in your hand. That's always the most up to date. Then email us so we can fix it.

The app doesn't know my product.

Tap "Type the ingredients instead", or scan the ingredient list with the camera, and you'll get an answer right away.

How do I add an allergy?

Go to the Kids tab, tap Edit on your kid's card, and turn on their allergies. Every product is then checked for them, on its own.

Why does the map ask for my location?

Only to show grocery stores near you. It's never stored or sent to us. You can say no and search for a store by name instead.

How do I delete my data?

Everything lives only on your phone, so deleting the app deletes it all. We don't have a copy.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's general food guidance to help with everyday choices. Always read the package for allergens, and ask your pediatrician about your child's diet.
